At our centre, we believe that every child is a unique, capable and curious learner, deserving of love, respect, and the opportunity to thrive. Guided by the principles of the Early Years Learning Framework, the Early Childhood Australia Code of Ethics, the National Quality Framework (ACECQA), and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, we are committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive and empowering environment where children feel a deep sense of belonging, being and becoming.

Our Philosophy

  • We uphold child-led and children first practices, including the rights of every child to safety, health and wellbeing, education, play, and participation in decisions that affect them. We view children as active contributors to their own learning, capable of expressing ideas, solving problems, and forming meaningful relationships. We foster resilience, creativity, and a strong sense of identity through play-based, inquiry-driven learning. We honour the role of families as children’s first and most influential educators. We build respectful, reciprocal relationships with families, embracing diverse cultures, languages, and traditions. We collaborate with families to support each child’s learning journey and wellbeing.

Our educators act with integrity, respect, and compassion, guided by the Early Childhood Australia Code of Ethics. We commit to ongoing professional learning based on current best practice, leading research and reflective practice embedded in continuous improvement to ensure high-quality care and education. We embrace Quality Improvement Planning.  We advocate for equity, inclusion, and social justice in all aspects of our work, alongside a commitment to sustainability through reuse, recycling and repurposing. We choose sustainable and environmentally sound resources wherever possible.

We celebrate Australia’s rich cultural heritage, including the enduring wisdom of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We promote inclusive practices that reflect the diversity of our community and support children’s cultural identities. We engage with the wider community to enrich children’s experiences and foster a sense of global citizenship.

We provide environments that are physically and emotionally safe, nature-based, inviting, and responsive to children’s interests. Our indoor and outdoor spaces encourage exploration, collaboration, and joyful learning. We support children’s holistic wellbeing—physical, emotional, social, and spiritual—through intentional teaching and care.
